What is Mutual Aid?

Mutual aid is the practice of sharing care, resources, and services within a community, for the people, by the people. It’s a community meeting each other’s needs, with the recognition that unjust systems do not, while working to build relationships, infrastructure, solutions, and life-affirming networks that ensure we address and mend the gaps.

With the mission to work from the grassroots, bringing solidarity and radical love to marginalized communities and local people, we have worked to cultivate mutual aid campaigns across Sacramento, the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Southern California, and San Diego—dedicated to redistributing wealth, education, food, and further essential resources.
